their customers, letting us take care of the complexities of processing their customer data reliably at scale. We’re in the running to power the entire customer data ecosystem, and we need the best people to take the market. In this role, we’re looking for someone to lead our Billing team in delivering both great customer experiences and deep integrations with payment, subscription and ERP systems. Segment's next level growth depends directly on how effectively we can price orders, deliver software, and collect revenue from both self-service and enterprise accounts. We can't achieve it unless all of these steps work flawlessly and are a joy for both customers and internal users to work with.
What you’ll do - Build solutions for the most critical problems Segment has along the arc of quote to cash, including automation and observability for trials, orders, provisioning, invoicing, and revenue recognition.
- Lead product development in making enterprise billing an efficient, reliable, and transparent process for both customers and internal teams.
- Partner closely with our finance and sales teams to build products that power Segment’s continued growth as market leader
What you’ll bring: - 4 years of experience leading a billing engineering team in a fast growing B2B SaaS company
- Deep understanding of subscription management and revenue recognition
- The a bility to synthesize all inputs and develop a crisp product roadmap
- A proven track record of delivering incredible impact
We’re especially excited about candidates who: - Have strong experience shipping solutions for metered (i.e. usage-based) billing.
- Have domain experience with vendors in the Quote-to-cash space, such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Stripe, and Zuora
