As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be responsible for setting the vision and building a strategically oriented and high impact marketing engine. This role reports directly to the Chief Growth Officer and is based in Austin, TX.

What You’ll Do

  • Brand: Define brand architecture, brand drivers and brand voice.
  • Brand: Define critical differentiators and ROI value messaging aligned to relevant buyer personas.
  • Content: Build and manage a high performing creative team that can execute on developing and executing effective and highly engaging content strategies to prospective and current clients.
  • Communications: Drive strong external communications (PR/AR), thought leadership/ content platforms and integrated campaigns to extend brand differentiation and value.
  • Demand: Create demand generation and lead management engine using an optimal mix of offline and online mediums to drive overall growth goals throughout the funnel.
  • Demand: Optimize strong digital presence via mobile, website, SEO, SEM, and peer-review communities.
  • Demand: Oversee the full lifecycle of marketing with our customers, from pre-opportunity to close and post-sales to achieve company ARR objectives
  • Sales Enablement: Drive improved sales win rate with compelling offer management, field enablement tools, competitive messaging.
  • Client Advocacy: Ensure company engages existing customers and new prospects in ways aligned to buyer preferences to build qualified pipeline for the sales organization.
  • Client Advocacy: Support growing LTV through building user community advocacy and customer engagement.
  • Leadership: Develop strong relationships with sales leaders and individual sales reps to approach challenges collaboratively and align activities to sales team goals.
  • Metrics Owned: Brand Awareness, Consideration/Preference, Close Rate, MQL vs plan; MQL to SAL conversion; Marketing-Originated Bookings %; Return on Marketing Investment, and CAC.

Example work in this role:

  • Drive the evolution of our brand positioning , bringing it to life in a clear and consistent way that resonates with and motivates the social good market and our clients.
  • Drive launch and promotion of new products and product features with the product team. You will set clear objectives and goals, research and define target audiences, develop marketing and communication strategies, and measure adoption.
  • Set the example for leadership in our team. Lead and mentor a growing team of marketers across a broad set of functions including demand generation, product marketing, content, PR, and brand.
  • Build a world-class marketing department . Identify talent needs, hire and manage a high-performing integrated marketing team.
Skills & Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience desired and at least 7 years of senior marketing leadership. Scaled marketing teams to at least $200M revenue.
  • Track record of successfully creating and implementing growth strategies in software market targeting both transactional and enterprise customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in an agile and deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong verbal communication, proven team collaboration skills, and demonstrated leadership and influence abilities.
  • Excellent presentation/advisory skills – clear, concise thinking and ability to deliver meaningful advice to senior leaders on communications strategy
  • Strong project management skills – must be able to organize work in a methodical and rigorous manner; comfortable in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated capability to research/understand a market and its priorities, challenges, opportunities, drivers and influencers
  • A strong self-starter who is willing to make their mark in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization
  • Ability to define key metrics and goals related to both functional and project level progress and success
  • Demonstrated ability to develop trust and credibility with a sales organization
  • Understanding of how software is ideated, developed, sold, and supported
  • Demonstrated capability to research/understand a market and its priorities, challenges, opportunities, drivers and influencers
