Our Finance team is small but mighty. We work closely as a team to ensure that all finance and accounting related tasks for the company are being done in a timely and accurate way. We have a culture of jumping in and supporting one another, bringing new ideas and process improvements to the table, and getting to know each other beyond our day-to-day jobs. ABOUT THE ROLE

Drop is looking for a Controller to lead the day to day operations of our accounting team. Reporting to the CFO, this role is responsible for leading and managing a team of fourand will require an experienced hands-on professional to implement processes and procedures to meet our operational needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage and review all general accounting functions which include month-end close process, account reconciliations and account clean ups
• Oversee daily operational accounting activities; approve bills and payments
• Analyze financial statements on monthly basis; perform variance analysis and ad hoc financial analysis
• Provide financials and financial information to investors, management, and others as requested
• Budget tracking for all departments
• Oversee, manage, and mentor team
• Lead process improvement initiatives for continued enhancement of the ERP system
• Work closely with Sr. Inventory Accountant on NetSuite enhancements related to BoMs, landed cost, and item master
• Manage first year audit; main point of contact for auditors and third parties
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAP; implement and document controls
• Oversee tax filings with external agencies
• Work cross functionally to implement new processes as they arise
• Be a trusted business partner and advisor to stakeholders across the company
• Assist in other accounting projects as needed

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in accounting, finance or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 10+ years in accounting positions of increasing responsibility
• 5+ years experience in managing and developing teams
• Excellent knowledge of financial close best practices and internal controls
• Experience with audits required; public accounting experience a plus
• Experience with inventory required
• Experience designing and implementing new policies and procedures; system implementation experience preferred
• Admin experience with ERP system; admin experience with NetSuite, Brex, Expensify, TaxJar, Avalara, TripActions a plus
