About us Remix ’s mission is to help build more livable cities. Our software helps city planners understand their communities and design transportation systems that serve them. Urban planning impacts everything from economic mobility to CO2 emissions, and our platform( demo ) empowers local governments to transform their transit systems , reshape their streets , and implement new mobility options to better serve their communities. About this role We’re looking for an experienced frontend engineer to join one of our product engineering teams. You’ll work closely with our designers, product managers, and customers to understand user needs, and then build and iterate on technical solutions that address them. You'll work across the stack, using different technologies for different projects. You’ll also build and maintain our processes and tools, to keep our productivity and code quality high. Our stack is mostly Typescript(with React, Redux, and Mapbox), Rails, Python, and Postgres/PostGIS. However, it's more important to us that you have experience with complex frontend engineering, and user-centric development in general than with our specific technologies.

What You'll Do:

• Build a beautiful product that helps street planners move quickly to improve safety and help people get around
• Partner with engineers, product managers and designers to scope and ship new features
• Work closely with design and product teams to develop creative solutions to novel UX problems
• Evolve and scale a complex map-based React application
• Contribute to discussions about engineering best practices and architecture for frontend app development

Who You Are:

• You have at least 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• You want to work at a mission-driven company

What Catches Our Eye:

• Experience developing complex React applications
• Experience with geospatial or mapping technologies
