Senior Java Developer, HCM

Job Description

Purpose

Develop and maintain stores’ workforce management solutions supporting end to end process for scheduling, timekeeping and absence management. This technical subject matter expert role is responsible for design and development of these solutions while also interfacing with business users. This role also has day to day responsibilities for production monitoring, issue triage & resolution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based applications workforce management (WFM)
• Participate in analysis, design, development and documentation for the applications.
• Responsible for both project delivery as well as production support to support stores along with implementing latest technologies for better associate experiences.
• Support and development within Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular JS, Hibernate web frameworks.
• Support and development of Java, SQL, scripting languages, etc.,
• Knowledge of XML, JSON, JDBC, JavaScript & Groovy script
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and formulate design and development.
• Analyze and troubleshoot data related issues using Oracle / SQL tools.
• Perform system configuration, design, testing, and support.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or similar field.
• 5 – 7 years’ Working Experience in Java and Groovy.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, working with users at all levels of the organization.
• Experience with Web Frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Angular JS, Hibernate.
• Strong exposure to Integration/Development Tools: SVN/GIT, ANT, Maven, TeamCity and Jira.
• Good knowledge and prior experience on MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Familiar with various IDE tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ, Spring Tool Suite.
• Exposure of Server Tools: Apache Tomcat Server, Jetty, JBoss, WebLogic
• Self-motivated team player who excels in a collaborative environment
