Senior Manager - Data Governance

Who You'll Work With

You’ll be part of the cyber and data risk team in one of our offices in North America or Europe. We are responsible for managing cybersecurity and data risks for the firm, raising awareness of these risks and best practices, and program governance.You will be primarily responsible for the delivery of a data governance program for the firm, working closely with legal (including our data privacy, data management and cybersecurity teams), technology and practices. You will collaborate with the compliance function within the cyber and data risk team to help develop compliance measures to ensure adherence to the firm’s policies.

What You'll Do

You will work as part of the broader cyber and data risk team to help design and implement a data risk program. In this role, you will be responsible for helping design policies, standards, and implementation strategies to ensure products are built in a risk-managed way. In particular, you will help turn data privacy guidance into pragmatic, actionable steps for product teams and client service teams. You will also have a second line risk management responsibility to provide assurance to the firm that data risks are both understood and being managed effectively. You will proactively address cross-functional data issues as well as set policies and guidelines for the firm, e.g., data retention policy. You will partner with legal, led by the data privacy team, to ‘operationalize’ many components of the firm’s data privacy program.You will also support the building of a data culture at the firm by raising awareness of data privacy and data risk. Finally, you will support product teams and client service teams in responding to specific data privacy questions, in partnership with internal cells, client service risk, and legal.

Qualifications

• University degree with excellent academic record
• 10+ years of experience in data privacy and data risk programs
• Diversity of work experience with both client-service teams and firm functions
• Ability to develop, implement and execute programs
