Accounts Payable Coordinator

Job Description

The Gogo Business Aviation CONTRACT Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of accounts payable, including verifying of receiving, expense reports, and reconciliation of vendor invoices.

Who will you make a difference?

• Coding and charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices/expense reports; recording entries;
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances;
• Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing stop-payments or purchase order amendments;
• Complete month end reconciliation;
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions;
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions;
• Accomplish accounting projects as needed by department;
• Filing of all invoice and payment requisitions;
• Work closely with other sections of the accounting department to insure department integrity.
• Assistance with monthly use tax filings and year end 1099 filings.
• Assistance with establishing accounts with new vendors.
• Assistance with the annual audit.
• Must have the desire to maintain a high standard of customer service externally and internally.
• Must have a great personality.

Qualifications

• Associate of Arts degree in accounting or related field, some college course work; Bachelor’s degree is preferred;
• 2+ years’ experience in A/P processing;
• Available for a 4-5-months contract

Skills, experience and talents

• Understanding of Purchasing process in regards to Purchase Orders;
• Experience with Microsoft NAVand Concur preferred;
• Thoroughness with attention to detail and good organizational skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with vendors, management and other staff members;
• Good analytical skills and follow-up abilities;
• Ability to think outside the box;
• Work well under pressure.

Compensation: $19/hr - $24/hr

Target Annual Incentive: 5% of base compensation
