Degreed is the upskilling platform that connects learning to opportunities. We are looking for a Sourcer to help manage the first stage of our recruiting process. You will become an expert in creative search techniques, engagement, and candidate experience. You will play an influential role in shaping our sourcing strategy from mapping ideal candidates to roles, reporting trends and insights, to advising our hiring managers on the talent market. You are a storyteller that can distill our culture, mission, values, and people into every interaction with candidates. This position will report to Degreed's Talent Acquisition Manager.
Day In The Life:
- Source and identify qualified candidates through various platforms like LinkedIn, Github, Hired, etc. using strategies like Boolean search
- Craft and send creative recruiting emails to garner interest from passive candidates
- Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters to identify and calibrate on ideal candidate profiles for hard to fill positions
- Develop talent pipelines for future hiring needs
- Measure conversion rates including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get invited to interviews, get offers and get hired
- Engage current employees and external networks to generate referrals
- Promote our employer brand online and offline
- Maintain candidate databases via our Applicant Tracking System
- Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities
- Phone screen prospective candidates, both sourced and applied
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are:
- 2+ years of Sourcing and/or Recruiting experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience using sourcing techniques like Boolean search strings in platforms like LinkedIn, Github, etc. to identify and engage prospective candidates
- 1+ years of experience using Applicant Tracking Systems like Greenhouse or Lever

Work Environment & Physical Demands Degreed is a remote-first company; however, this role is based in our Salt Lake City office (when it is safe to return) with the flexibility to work remotely a few days a week. As a global business, we primarily collaborate through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. You will be required to operate a laptop computer, computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary in this role. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
