Description: Manage Group and Individual accounts through billing processes, cash collection and distribution, customer service and reconciliation of account receivables. Reconcile Group and Individual accounts. Maintain membership database.
Essential Responsibilities: Receive payments with updated eligibility information, including retroactive and prospective adjustments and perform reconciliation to billing. Ensure accounts are accurate to meet set monthly financial and statistical requirements. Maintain accurate membership system by processing enrollment, terminations, transfers and demographic changes in a timely manner. Conform to service agreements and State and Federal regulations. Interpret eligibility rules in conformance with service agreements, State and Federal regulations and departmental guidelines. Learn to research policy issues, interpret results and communicate to groups and/or Individuals as needed. Obtain and provide accurate eligibility information to Groups, clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and members. If an immediate enrollment issue occurs, update system per internal immediate enrollment procedures. Represent Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington to Group representatives in billing and eligibility issues. Participate in meetings/training sessions with supervisor, Account Manager and Group contacts by phone, e-mail, or on-site. Basic Qualifications: Experience

Associate's degree OR two (2) years of directly related experience. High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration
N/A Additional Requirements: Communication, customer service and problem solving skills. Computer skills in a Windows environment, including MS Office Suite. Ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast-paced work environment Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years of bookkeeping, accounting or related background. Experience with receivables, reconciliation and collections. Experience in membership and enrollment functions in health care environment.
