CRM is a critical area component of the marketing mix as it drives unpaid revenue and boosts operational leverage. As we continue build on the eCommerce success Tuft & Needle has experienced and develop the foundational infrastructure that will allows Serta, Simmons and Beautyrest to scale their eCommerce business; it will be critical that we develop and implement an effective email marketing strategy. The Manager, CRM Comms Strategy serves a critical role constructing CRM customer journeys that personalized and relevant, and deliver key brand, product, promotional and editorial content to our subscriber base that maximizes engagement and conversion. The Manager, CRM Comms Strategy manages the development of our anuual email content strategy across our portfolio of brands (Tuft & Needle, Serta, Simmons and Beautyrest). They are responsible for developing a communication strategy and cadence that delivers content relevancy and engagement through a well-balanced approach to communicating brand, product and promotional content based on audience segmentation, data and trigger events. A critical function for this role will be translating a comprehensive email strategy into monthly email calendars and creative briefs for each corresponding communication so that the creative and messaging reflects the intent and objective for each email.

Responsibilities:

    • Develop email campaign strategy, deployment cadence and content calendar that aligns with larger brand campaigns, product roadmap, business seasonality, trends and the brand editorial strategy
    • Work directly with creative team and owned-channel team (blog and organic social) on an integrated communication calendar and complimentary communication plan
    • Work with CRM analytics team to interrogate customer data and campaign performance to develop segmentation strategies and corresponding customer journeys that maximize content relevance and ultimately drive performance
    • Leverage campaign data to develop insights and drive hypotheses to optimize future ccampaigns
    • Develop monthly content plan, develop creative briefs to support each communication needed, conduct kick-off meetings with the creative team and review and approve creative prior to deployment
    • Identify innovation opportunities to deliver content in more engaging ways such as in-email enhancements and other channels such as SMS, digital, etc.
    • Work with paid channel leads in support of larger cross-channel campaigns
    • Work with CX and consumer insights teams to identify new content opportunities based on customer interactions and customer feedback
    • Management of CRM comms team including coaching, development, mentorship and execution of performance reviews

Requirements:

    • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications or Advertising preferred
    • Experience developing email customer journeys, content strategies, comms plans and creative briefs
    • 5+ years experience in Email Marketing or CRM
    • Experience managing teams
    • Excellent verbal and written communication in English including experience presenting to senior leadership teams
    • Strong attention to detail
