NerdWallet is seeking a strategic, analytics and growth-oriented organic search marketer to join our UK team. In this role, you’ll support the SEO manager in our organic user acquisition strategy for our critical verticals within NerdWallet’s UK product portfolio.

You’ll do this by developing a deep understanding of consumer needs, identifying new opportunities for traffic growth that align with our products, prioritising content team efforts associated with the vertical, driving rapid testing to improve site engagement and rankings.

This cross-functional role will have you partnering closely with product managers, editorial content, and digital PR team members.

Where you can make an impact:

• Develop the organic traffic acquisition strategy alongside the SEO manager
• Work closely with the editors and writers of key verticals to develop a content roadmap
• Leverage tools like SEOmonitor, Botify and Google Search Console to measure the impact of content efforts and diagnose opportunities for optimisation
• Identify and prioritise top SEO opportunities that are aligned with our business objectives, working with the content and development teams to implement changes using an Hypothesise, Build, Measure, Learn methodology
• Understand customer pain points specific to our core verticals to help foster a user-first approach

• Data-driven and analytical: you’re skilled at turning data points into actionable insights, and you focus on 80:20 analysis (prioritising speed over perfection)
• Structured thinker: you’re able to break down opportunities into specific drivers, hypotheses and frameworks to structure your thinking, to generate action plans, and to align stakeholders
• Strategically-minded: you’re able to identify and prioritise strategic initiatives; eager to “think big” about attracting consumers to NerdWallet through SEO

Your experience:

• 2-3 years of work experience in digital marketing and SEO
• Self-motivated, fast learner, and strategic thinker; able to achieve high impact in a dynamic environment
• Entrepreneurial spirit in helping to build out search visibility for a brand that’s new to the UK market
• Understanding of how search engines work and how to influence their search rankings
• Foundational knowledge of technical SEO factors, such as how search engines crawl and index websites
• Demonstrated track record of SEO results that you’ve contributed to
• Familiarity in using analytics tools to drive business insights (ideally with experience in Google Sheets, Google Analytics, PowerBI)
• Experience using SEO tools such as SEOmonitor, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Botify, and others
• An interest in the personal finance industry
