Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

NerdWallet is seeking a self-motivated and analytical Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing finance team. This team member will be a hands-on contributor to the company’s FP&A function, including preparing the annual financial plan and on-going financial forecasting and reporting for the total company. The Finance organization is composed of driven, high performing individuals who are continually looking to find efficiencies through process improvement and system implementations. We work hard but also know how to have fun and work cohesively as a team.

Where you can make an impact:

• Partner with the company’s business teams for revenue forecasting and planning
• Understand business strategy and ensuring financials reflect risks and opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally and building effective and trusted relationships with management team leads across the entire organization
• Drive internal processes to maintain and improve predictability of financial results, while improving efficiency
• Work closely with the business to help manage performance

You have:

• Proven ability to work across many departments with varying levels of staff and management to solve problems and achieve results (experience supporting sales and marketing a plus)
• Strong detail-orientation, including excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Process oriented approach with high standards for quality and accuracy in your work product
• Basic understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Can well work independently as well as in a team environment

Your experience:

• 3+ years work experience in finance with at least two years of FP&A experience
• Experience building complex financial models
• Fluency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Powerpoint), Google sheets, ERP software (Oracle a plus) and forecasting/reporting tools (Planful a plus)
• Experience working in financial services or fintech a plus
