Senior Manager, HR Operations

Job Description

NerdWallet is looking for an experienced manager to improve and grow our Operations function within NerdWallet’s People Team. This is an exceptional opportunity to do great work by developing strong practices, policies and procedures that will enhance the employee experience from onboarding to alumni. From creating and implementing new company policies to automating many of our manual HR processes, you will have a meaningful impact on both the People Operations team and the company as a whole.

Where you can make an impact:

• Manage the day to day work of the People Operations team with the lens of consistency and compliance
• Partner with cross-functional teams to make the best decisions for NerdWallet keeping in mind the employee experience
• Handle tracking, compliance and escalations for various cyclical processes throughout the year
• Identify gaps in processes or pain points and propose creative solutions
• Develop HR policy and procedure to mitigate ambiguity and drive self-service
• Creative problem solving and cutting edge thinking for new program implementation
• Manage the Nerd onboarding and offboarding process in its entirety while identifying areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and country guidelines and submit all forms as needed annually
• Maintain employee records so they are accurate and up to date, while adhering to our record retention policy

Your experience:

We recognize not everyone will have all of these requirements. If you meet most of the criteria below and you’re excited about the opportunity and willing to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

• 7+ years of experience in People Operations or related HR role
• 2+ years of management experience, preferably with a remote team
• Have a strong background in HR Operations and understand the connection to HR best in order to make decisions that scale
• Knowledge regarding systems and data specifically with WorkDay and Zendesk (Culture Amp and Reflektive are a plus)
• Experience building workflows, SLAs, documentation and compliance applicable to the local laws and regulations
• Previous experience working for multinational companies is a plus!
