Coursera was launched in 2012 by two Stanford Computer Science professors, Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller, with a mission to provide universal access to world-class learning. Coursera partners with over 250 leading university and industry partners to offer a broad catalog of content and credentials, including Guided Projects, courses, Specializations, certificates, and bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Institutions around the world use Coursera to upskill and reskill their employees, citizens, and students in many high-demand fields, including data science, technology, and business. Coursera became a B Corp in February 2021. The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for connecting the world to lifelong transformative learning. They also work to shape public conversations on the future of education and work. The team is segmented into four areas of focus: Consumer Marketing, Enterprise Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Communications. The team is currently focused on expanding the reach of Coursera’s brand and bringing new learners to the site, connecting students to degree programs, attracting new enterprise customers — including businesses, governments, and campuses — and creating a marketing system that nurtures learners throughout their professional lives. The Partner Marketing team has the goal of enabling the growth of Coursera’s content and credentials product lines (Degrees, Professional Certificates, etc) by attracting and accelerating meaningful partner relationships. The team is measured by the growth in the number of new content partnerships and the level of satisfaction maintained in those relationships. Reporting into the Senior Director of Partner Marketing, this role is responsible for delivering marketing programs and activities that drive interest and demand across universities and organisations to partner with Coursera in developing content for our platform. The key deliverable for this role is to design and deploy a targeted marketing plan that generates marketing qualified leads (MQLs). Additionally, the role will include supporting the nurturing of qualified leads as well as marketing activities to progress opportunities through the sales funnel.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design, development and execution of the annual and quarterly demand generation marketing plan for content and credentials
- Become fluent in marketplace dynamics, segment needs, roles and personas, and developing and helping to execute scalable marketing activities based on a client-centric an segmented approach
- Partner with business development and sourcing teams to identify target accounts (universities and organisations) for the content partner pipeline
- Design multi-channel campaigns, programs and activities, including account based marketing tactics to generate marketing qualified leads (MQLs) for sourcing the content partner pipeline
- Coordinate with the extended partner marketing team (including product marketing, digital content and SEO) and the cross-functional global marketing team to create and organise content aligned to target personas and mapped to the buying journey of the target audience, for use in for marketing program deployment
- Analyze and report on marketing key performance indicators to demonstrate the effectiveness of marketing activities, including lead generation, lead follow-up and lead conversion from MQLs to SQLs
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience working in business marketing, preferably at a higher education company, or as part of a university marketing team
- Has experience driving demand for enterprise leveraging a variety of techniques including content marketing, drip campaigns, digital/web, etc. with proficiency in developing integrated, multi-touch demand generation marketing plans
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in sales, marketing, business management or any business-related fields
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- A track record of building measurable B2B programs and marketing communications efforts that deliver against business goals
- Excels in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and targets; excels in fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle several projects, vendors and contracts simultaneously
- Quick in analysing data from numerous sources in determining the demand generation
- Is self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, multi-tasker, creative, and analytical
