Codecademy is looking for a knowledgeable programmer or instructor to help write our newest course, Intro to DevOps. The Catalog Content Contributor works directly with the Codecademy Curriculum team to author interactive lessons, quizzes, and projects to help turn a high-level syllabus into reality. This is a paid, remote, part-time position.

What You'll Do

• Design and author interactive articles
• Think pedagogically to break down technical concepts into digestible exercises
• Collaborate with Codecademy's Curriculum team to craft learning outcomes and build a compelling learner experience

What You'll Need

• Experience with CI/CD concepts
• Experience with Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
• Experience with a major cloud computing platform: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with both software development and formal or informal teaching
• A strong command of written and spoken English

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience using the Codecademy platform
• Experience writing educational content that reaches a wide audience in a digital format

This is a part-time, remote position. You can expect anywhere from ~10-30 hours of work per week, with the freedom to work wherever and at whatever times you want. You will be compensated (paid) bi-weekly.
