Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for driving the forecasting process and developing the demand plan as a critical output of the Sales & Operations Planning process. In addition, you will be responsible for improving forecast accuracy to increase predictability and resiliency to deliver on promises to all T&N customers. Data analysis skills (Excel) are extremely important as is an ability to multi-task and manage various priorities while maintaining all required deadlines to internal and external parties. The individual in this role will also engage with our Finance and Data Science teams to understand variances between forecast versions and actuals as they are reported. The job will require a great amount of autonomy and responsibility, so the ability to manage your own time and problem solve is critical. Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve product forecast at the weekly, dealer, plant, SKU level by utilizing advanced planning system (once implemented)
- Analyze historical trends, conducting history cleansing, and utilizing statistical models to determine baseline forecast
- Partner with sales, marketing, and finance to understand and align on forecast drivers (including promotions, new product introductions and discontinuations, distribution changes, etc.) and come to a consensus forecast
- Lead monthly cross functional S&OP meetings to ensure alignment of forecast across organization
- Keep a detailed record of forecast assumptions, changes, and action items from S&OP meetings
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
- Effectively refresh the forecasts monthly and communicate updates to management and supplier base
- Maintain & create reports from large data sets using excel and any other applicable tools
- Work collaboratively with all other T&N teams to help problem-solve and improve our processes
- Support the implementation of the advanced planning system as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other related field preferred
- Minimum 2-5 years supply chain experience required, experience in Retail preferred
- Strong knowledge of forecasting, probability & statistics. Experience utilizing advanced planning system preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel up to 10%
