As an Associate Decision Scientist, you will be responsible for providing actionable and data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders. You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals and understand the business in-depth, support and challenge strategic options, and build state-of-the-art tools to drive value throughout our business.

What you will be doing:

  • Support projects to build causal inference models (A/B testing), automation of existing reports and deliverables, machine learning models, root cause analysis of upstream data issues, and market analysis case studies
  • Work cross-functionally to analyze large amounts of behavioral and transaction data to provide clients with actionable insights about Ibotta’s users and campaign performance
  • Communicate complex analyses and data intricacies in a clear, concise manner both internally as well as to external clients
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and clients to provide insightful reporting and dashboards

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is customer focused, collaborative, trustworthy, resourceful, and is invested in self development
  • SQL knowledge, data wrangling, and analytical skills
  • Ability to think creatively and provide thoughtful insights
  • Ability to develop, automate, visualize, analyze, and communicate learnings
  • Ability to work collaboratively throughout an organization to drive towards common goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics/mathematics/statistics/data science/computer science/economics or equivalent experience

Preferred:

  • Experience using modern data analysis tools (e.g., Python/R, Spark, Hive, Airflow, etc.)
  • Experience with modern BI tools (e.g., Looker, Mode, Tableau)
  • Experience with Git/GitHub
  • Experience with data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, profit sharing and equity.
  • Base compensation range: $60,000 - $80,000
