It enables us to provide a level of quality and choice of home that you cannot find anywhere else. Correct and efficient billing and accounting are critical to our growth as a business and delivering on that goal. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with solid software engineering skills, as well as experience working with financial, billing, or accounting software. This role will prioritize accuracy over speed, though shipping is ultimately still important.

What You’ll Do

• Work directly with stakeholders on the Finance team to understand their needs
• Ship new features and updates to allow the Finance team to work more efficiently and effectively
• Support other teams where their projects touch billing or finance
• Write robust tests and validations to ensure we bill and pay the right amount, every time
• Take ownership of your projects
• Update and maintain our NetSuite integration

What You Bring

• Significant years of software engineering experience
• Experience with financial, billing, accounting, or business systems (Stripe, NetSuite, Zuora, Yardi, etc.)
• Strong analytical mindset for understanding, correlating, and connecting data from multiple systems
• Experience shipping quality, proven software
• Able to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• (Preferred) Experience integrating with an ERP
• (Optional) Ruby on Rails experience
