About the role:

In this role, you will be responsible for improving the overall performance of the evernote.com website and related properties. Put your expertise to work, optimizing our end-to-end website experience, from the top of our funnel through download, registration, login and purchase. Whether the traffic arrives from social media, organic searches or paid ads, you’ll have your finger on the pulse of performance, working extensively with our analytics platforms and cross-functional teams, identifying actionable insights and driving new testing and implementation. Using your experience with personalization, accessibility and AB testing, you’ll be a persistent voice in driving ongoing improvements to usability, trying new tactics to meet (and exceed) KPI’s and fostering stronger brand engagement.

What you will do:

  • Provide strategic direction and execution that drives overall marketing performance of evernote.com and related sites to deliver against key corporate objectives around new users, engagement and monetization
  • Leverage Google Analytics, Data Studio, Hotjar and other tools to develop and maintain a deep understanding of what's happening on the website and where to focus efforts next
  • Leverage analytics insights to develop a baseline on all critical website KPIs
  • Find continuous opportunities to increase performance of marketing initiatives, from paid advertising campaigns to SEO to content marketing
  • Provide regular reports on website trends, changes, problems & opportunities to stakeholders and colleagues
  • Develop hypotheses that feed optimization experimentation programs
  • Track and report out on the results of modifications made to the sites and drive blog performance in terms of conversions and content exposure, through infrastructure and feature improvements
  • Leverage Optimizely to build and maintain a persistent and successful website experimentation program
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure appropriate user attribution tracking mechanisms (pixels, tags, website SDKs, etc.) are implemented and functioning throughout websites to ensure correct attribution for conversion events
  • Work collaboratively with business owners to ensure that the website content and UI align with optimal user journeys/flows and desired outcomes, keeping tracking and reporting capabilities in mind at all times
  • Work closely with content marketing and web development as part of the SEO team to ensure that we’re doing everything we can to increase organic traffic for branded and (more importantly) non-branded, valuable keywords
  • Work with content marketing and web dev teams ensure we have all of the tools and plugins needed for performance, varied forms of media (like animation, social links and targeted CTAs) tracking and UX on the blog (Wordpress), main website

What you have done:

  • B.S./M.S. in Internet Marketing, Digital Marketing, Visual Design, similar disciplines, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of overall experience
  • 3+ years experience in managing the marketing performance of visually stimulating, highly trafficked, personalized and high performing web properties
  • 2+ years experience with optimization/personalization platforms such as Optimizely to increase conversions and improve experience; can demonstrate proficiency
  • Set up, maintained and gathered insights from Google Analytics, Optimizely, Google Data Studio, Wordpress etc. and communicated insights via reports and dashboards to cross functional business leads
  • Strong, outcome driven, digital project management experience, with experience partnering and communicating with all levels of a matrixed, global organization

  • You have a strategic marketing mindset - always looking at the marketing funnel and user experience on the web (as they relate to business objectives ) and having the strong need (and know-how) to improve them
  • You are a passionate, self-starter with a can-do attitude
  • You have a strong background and understanding of website UX
  • You possess a strong understanding of the technologies that make the best websites possible - candidates aren’t required to write the code but they must have a strong understanding of what HTML, CSS & Javascript are and how they are served up in a traditional server/client model to produce a stellar website
  • You are a creative problem solver and critical thinker, adept at leveraging new technologies and collaborating with marketers, web developers, designers, and other web stakeholders
