About the Role and The Team Bolt is hiring a Product Design Intern who wants to learn about our product strategy and help develop ensure the product we release is world-class. The ideal candidate has deep empathy for people, a passion for simplifying complex problems, and an action-oriented mentality. As a Product Design Intern at Bolt, you’ll support our team at various stages of the process, from research, to design, to final production. You’ll gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment and participate in our conscious culture.
What you'll do
- You’ll join one of our feature teams and actively participate in meetings, critiques, and events
- You’ll produce low-fidelity sketches and prototypes with input from other Product Design and UX Research team members
- You’ll transform design concepts to high-fidelity mockups for team reviews and cross-functional presentations
- You’ll build out product documentation along side Product Managers, Engineers, and other Product Designers
- You’ll develop future product ideas through a collaborative design process
- You’ll learn and apply critical storytelling and presentation skills
What will set you up for success
- You are enrolled in a Design, HCI, or similar industry-related educational programYou have an online or PDF portfolio with résumé and application
- You are proficient in Figma and other applicable design software
- You have classroom or on-the-job experience with different design methods and techniques
- You believe in a human-centered design philosophy with a willingness to hone your design instincts through research
- You have high standards for your design process, a strong work ethic, and a growth mindset
- You support others around you and champion the values of a conscious culture
