Ibotta is looking for a Senior Decision Scientist to join our CPG-Analytics team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals and understand the business in-depth, support and challenge strategic directions, and build state-of-the-art tools to drive value throughout our business. As a Senior Decision Scientist, you will use modeling and experimentation to identify factors that contribute to campaign success; provide actionable and data-driven recommendations to internal and external stakeholders; and work with our Client teams to support new business opportunities.
Ibotta captures billions of purchases annually, with over ten thousand brands across hundreds of retailers, presenting the right candidate with the opportunity to work with one of the most comprehensive and unique (purchasing) data sets in the world.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
What you'll be doing:

- Working cross-functionally to support revenue teams by generating analytical insights to answer important client questions
- Developing and automating analytics tools that enable internal business customers to gain insights they can use to drive client revenue
- Advise, design, and implement new processes for measuring promotional campaigns through various analytical approaches with rigorous statistically based methodologies
- Identifying interesting and unexpected trends in the data that go beyond the needs of individual requests and projects
- Communicating analysis findings in a clear, concise manner
- Translating high-level business requirements into product/project specifications
- Taking ownership of multiple simultaneous projects with minimal oversight
- Establishing best practices for the team, and helping to mentor teammates
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in an analytics or data science role involving data extraction and statistical modeling; experience with ML modeling and implementation a plus
- Strong SQL knowledge and established data wrangling skills
- Proven experience with modern data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Spark)
- Experience with model building and statistical best practices
- Experience designing and implementing A/B testing in live environments
- Ability to develop, automate, visualize, analyze, and communicate learnings
- Interest in working at different levels of analysis, from descriptive to predictive to prescriptive analysis, to deliver the right solution for the business problem
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in analytics/mathematics/statistics/data science/computer science/economics or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus

Additional Details:
- This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, profit sharing and equity. Candidates must live in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
- Base compensation range: $90,000 - $120,000. This compensation range is specific to the state of Colorado's local labor market and may vary for employees living in other areas.
