About the ChipScope Team Django Summer Internship

The ChipScope team has a collaborative and enriching summer software internship opportunity for college undergraduate and graduate students where you will have an opportunity to apply your college skills while developing new ones that go beyond the classroom. We are an innovative, supportive team that enjoys learning and teaching each other as we create tools that help solve our customers debug problems. Our passion is helping our teammates succeed as we deliver features for one of AMD’s most widely used software for debugging AMD’s advanced ACAP, SoC and FPGA devices.

In this internship you will be working with senior engineers and managers to help investigate, develop, and test new features for our internal Django web applications. You will also assist on developing continuous integration build and test infrastructure for these applications. In addition to these projects, you’ll also have a chance to work with your summer intern colleagues on a fun and inspiring intern-managed group project.
Everyday there will be a new opportunity to learn something new about advanced AMD’s products and what it takes to develop quality production Django web applications working alongside with a team that will help you succeed every step of the way.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in developing and optimizing the Django application code and test infrastructure
• Assist in developing and optimizing the continuous integration build infrastructure for the Django applications
• Collaborate with the project team members to troubleshoot and solve Django application issues
• Document and present test results and training modules

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS or Graduate degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Experience using Python
• Familiarity with GitHub or other source control tools
• Comfortable with remote work using Windows or Linux environments

Desired Qualifications

• Experience creating detailed and organized markdown documentation (Confluence, GitHub, etc)
• Familiarity with using popular Python web packages (such Django, flask, pandas, Matplotlib, etc.)
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with using Docker
• Familiarity with using Jenkins
