The cryptocurrency industry continues to defy expectations! There is huge momentum and so much growth and innovation potential in this evolving space. Coinsquare is looking for an experienced brand marketing leader who is up for the challenge of taking our brand to the next level and help us radically grow our business. This year, we launched our new retail cryptocurrency trading product, Quick Trade, into the market and we have a lot more in store for 2021. Redefining and elevating our brand is a crucial part of our success and this is a key role in making that happen.

What you’ll be doing

• Own, define and evolve Coinsquare’s corporate and digital product brand strategies
• Lead the strategy, development and execution of brand marketing campaigns
• Develop and evolve brand positioning, ensuring it remains fresh and relevant in the everchanging crypto space
• Use data and insights to inform brand strategies
• Identify and define key customer segments; create messaging strategies for those segments
• Establish performance metrics to ensure brand marketing goals are achieving desired outcomes
• Measure brand performance and sentiment, pivot and adjust our approach to continuously improve our brand equity in the market
• Help develop Coinsquare’s content marketing strategy to support brand-building efforts
• Manage and track brand marketing budgets and spend
• Partner with performance marketing, product, design and operations teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and communications across all customer touchpoints
• Oversee all PR efforts to elevate Coinsquare’s reputation in the Canadian market
• Develop PR strategies and execute those strategies in relevant channels
• Build, manage and own the relationships with external agencies (ad agencies, PR agencies)
• Act as the primary point of contact for external brand marketing partnerships

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in a Marketing leadership role with a focus on brand marketing
• Mastery in brand strategy and brand management
• Proven track record of building successful brands from zero to one
• Experience working at an advertising agency is a huge plus
• Experience with public relations
• Proficiency in managing relationships with external partners
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to educate and influence stakeholders across the organization, including executives
• Ability to establish process and structure
• Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to collaborate
• Experience working in cryptocurrency, trading or FinTech is a plus
• Millenial brand, social aspect
• Challenger banks
• Experience building both B2C and B2B brands
