The Role Reporting to and working alongside the VP, Demand Generation, Sajag Chikarsal, this leader will oversee our global digital function, with a primary focus on growing awareness and generating and fulfilling demand through scalable online/web marketing and paid media programs with a customer first lens. This role will partner closely with demand generation, campaign marketing, regional marketing, and other marketing professionals to contribute to the pipeline/revenue growth efforts. The director will own all paid media channels, digital campaign performance, SEO, and digital conversion success. Experience as a primary leader responsible for the ongoing expansion and optimization of a website with an in-house team is essential. It’s all about creating a connected, personalized journey for the customer and impacting Nylas’s next phase of growth. You are likely to succeed in this role with past success in owning and delivering pipeline numbers for a high growth B2B SaaS companies. As Nylas moves upstream into the enterprise, this role needs to build and execute on strategies resulting in increase customer acquisition and expansion in key target markets.
What You'll Do
- Build and scale a world-class digital marketing function capable of delivering innovative experiences that tell the Nylas story and enhance the customer journey
- Strategize, plan, execute, manage, and optimize end-to-end digital marketing programs with a pointed approach for attracting, engaging and delighting customers
- Lead recommendations and implementation of new and modern digital marketing opportunities, capabilities, and tactics.
- Manage the continuous optimization of digital marketing performance leveraging data analytics and A/B performance testing.
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Development, and Marketing to build programs that support our pipeline and revenue targets globally.
- Provide digital marketing expertise and campaign execution services to regional teams.
- Own the return-on-investment targets for all digital channels, including: paid search, retargeting and display channels, and social and progressive platforms.
- Educate and inform leadership and broader marketing org on campaign performance, channel strategy, ad platform developments and industry trends
- Lead digital content review and recommendations to improve conversions.
- Partner with Marketing Operations to streamline, automate and measure all digital marketing programs.
- Focus on conversion optimization strategies, leveraging best practices, and constantly testing ways to improve conversion rates
- Monitor emerging trends, platforms, and formats and adjust strategy accordingly
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, MBA or Masters degree preferred.
- 10+ years of B2B digital marketing experience in a high growth B2B SaaS company
- 5+ years of leading teams and marketing functions, ideally with a global scope.
- Agency experience serving clients, a plus.
- Demonstrates passion for the customer experience using data, insights, and creative instincts.
- Experience with paid media channels, paid search, SEO, social, and other digital marketing capabilities.
- Knowledge with Martech tools such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, and Marketo.
- Experience in planning and executing campaigns for regional teams, campaign teams, and partner teams.
- Experience managing third-party vendors including agencies and contractors.
- Experience partnering with sales development, sales teams, and marketing managers to coordinate, communicate, and deliver offers and campaigns that resonate deeply with customers and prospects.

- Must possess the aptitude and interest to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented growth business.
