Insightly CRM is seeking a highly organized and motivated Director of Engineering to join our fast-growing company.
Well qualified candidates will have previous experience in leadership at a SaaS company, be self-driven, have a passion to solve complex problems, be a quick learner with willingness to flex into new areas, and have strong relationship building skills.
We are looking for an individual to help co-manage the team alongside the VP. You will design, develop, and maintain Insightly’s Web Application, APIs, and Mobile applications.
In this role, you will serve as a technology leader within the company. You will be managing multiple teams and helping build a first-class engineering team.
This is a very hands-on position. You will be working closely with a smart and collaborative team that is developing a highly scalable cloud based platform for medium to enterprise businesses.
Essential Job Functions (or “Job Duties”)
- Oversee the technical execution for 15+ engineering team in the areas of feature development, integrations, legacy modernization, mobile, etc.
- Assist in optimizing every aspect of the development lifecycle from ideation through post-delivery support and maintenance.
- Participate in technical committee meetings to reach architecture and framework decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define, document, and adhere to modern development standards and patterns.
- Own the execution of the technical objectives and roadmaps.
- Assist with critical Production incidents to resolve issues, identify root causes, and proceed with mitigation actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Assist in solving the most challenging technical problems.
- Assist in maintaining technical backlogs by setting objectives, documenting scope, and prioritizing work.
- Provide technical and professional mentorship to engineering managers of varying skill levels.
- Exercise expert judgment to balance technical and business objectives.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of full-stack development experience in a wide array of technologies to include: web development, Windows services, frameworks, libraries, internal tool development, etc.
- 5+ years of experience leading full-stack development teams.
- 2+ years experience coaching managers, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers.
- Successfully delivered numerous complex applications from start to finish, to include supporting them in a Production environment.
- Have broad experience with all facets of software engineering to include: software development, infrastructure, testing, code build, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Demonstrate senior-level expertise in most of the following technologies: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, REST APIs, ORMs, Microsoft SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AWS, and Git.
- A deep understanding of the web, with prior experience building cloud-based solutions, especially on AWS.
- Proven history of developing scalable, resilient, testable applications.
- Exceptional communication, problem solving, and analytical skills is a must.

The salary range for this role in Colorado is $195,000 to $230,000 and final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise. For all other locations, the salary range may vary by geographic market and will be determined through the selection and assessment process for this role relative to your experience and our job qualifications. Insightly complies with applicable law regarding pay transparency.
