This person will be responsible for processing full cycle US payroll including new hires, terminations, bonus and commissions. We're looking for someone who is organized, analytical, able to prioritize competing tasks, and thrive in fast-paced environments. They will work collaboratively with the finance and people teams, and have a front-row seat to a fast-growing startup's growth.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for processing full cycle US payroll, including new hires, terminations, bonus and commissions
• Register and manage multi-state payroll
• Manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
• Research and resolve data discrepancies in the payroll process
• Determine appropriate taxation of employee and employer benefits and deductions
• Administer 401k, FSA/HSA, Commuter deductions, distributions, and reporting
• Provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries from employees and internal business partners
• Be the primary point of contact with payroll and benefits service providers
• Design, document, and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Assist with year end compliance tasks such as reporting, W-2 distributions, and compliance testing
• Analyze compensation-related data including wages and bonuses
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary

What We're Looking For:

• Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
• Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized in a face-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work autonomously, as well as collaboratively with team members spanning multiple time zones
• Consistently meet deadlines and drive process improvements
• Experience with payroll implementation preferred
• Experience with Paylocity or Zenefits
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
