About the role

Put your technical and organization skills to work fighting cancer. At Syapse, you will be at the forefront of crafting solutions used by leading physicians, researchers, and governments in the fight against cancer & other serious diseases.

In this role, you will solve technical problems for the Cloud Operations, Engineering & Data teams partnering with teammates across the company. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our continuous delivery framework with effective tools and processes to develop, build and deploy products for our customers. You will aid the team in evolving our technical cloud infrastructure foundation supporting product development and product delivery with a view to accelerate value delivery, developer efficiency and service observability. You must have a personal drive and a willingness to roll-up your sleeves to make things happen.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Improving and maintaining the CI/CD framework
• Integrating security and secure development practices/tools/methodologies into our platform and systems architecture
• Experiments to evaluate new technologies and methodologies to accelerate project delivery
• Partnering with Service Reliability teams to help architect & provision operational dashboards for day-to-day platform monitoring needs

What You Bring To The Table

• 4+ years of Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, DevOps, and/or Service Reliability Engineering.
• Experience with a public cloud such as AWS leveraging Terraform
• Experience working with Docker containers running on Kubernetes
• Proficient in Python or similar language and Bash scripting
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must have good communication skills
• Experience as a tech lead is a bonus.

Bonus Points If You

• Experience in data intensive environments and/or data platforms
• Contribute to Open Source projects

Syapse is a Remote-First company. What does that mean? Simply, we hire team members anywhere regulations allow and assume everyone will work from home full time. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Syapse hires need to be located and perform their job in the United States. Some folks travel, some may eventually gather in person in areas where we have a critical mass of employees, and of course we’re excited to get together as departments and as a whole company throughout the year in person. But you, and the rest of Team Syapse, will mostly work from home.
