As an Engineering Intern at Simon, you’ll join a group of engineers building our flagship product that activates data using an array of external channels. Our clients rely on our product to engage with hundreds of millions of customers every day -- sending over billions of messages annually. Successful engineers value ownership & creativity, have deep knowledge in delivering resilient & scalable designs, and thrive in tackling the challenges of distributed systems.

What You’ll Do

• Work within a team to solve and work towards a real solution to be included in the Simon Application
• Learn from different engineers as you work 1:1 with a designated mentor
• Rotate among Simon Data Engineering teams to learn what they do and gain some information and help to work through your project
• Meet and learn from the Simon Engineering team to help pave your path into Software Development

Qualifications

• Majoring in Computer Science, Math or any STEM related fields
• Understanding and interested in data structures, object-oriented design, and algorithms
• Experience working in teams, collaborating with others, and working towards project completion
• Exposure to data storage systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake a plus
• Exposure to web frameworks such as Django and React a plus
• Excellent debugging skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
