Solutions Engineer - Marin Software

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Solutions Engineer is part of the Solutions Engineering team within the Technology organization. This is a growing team at the heart of our plans for the future, so this is a fantastic opportunity to come in work on exciting projects and develop your skills.

This role is responsible for design and development within our SaaS platform, which helps Marin scale to utilize the petabytes of data clients bring into our systems, all while increasing efficiency, speed of delivery, and reliability at every level of service.

Primary responsibilities include:

● Design and develop software applications in a collaborative environment

● Utilize test-driven development to write quality code

● Interface with 3rd party APIs and abstract out core concepts

● Interact with other teams to gather requirements, design, and implementation

● Provide operational support

Success Factors

● Improve effectiveness and efficiency of the Solutions Engineering organization

● Improve metrics on solution quality and production service stability

● Reduce metrics on service failures or issues

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Experience & Technical Skills

● At least 2 years experience with JavaScript (NodeJS Development Environment)

● Experience with object-oriented programming experience (Java, C++)

● Experience with Agile Development Methodology

● Experience with MongoDB

● Experience with SQL (MySQL or other RDBS)

● Experience with Linux / Unix / Bash

● Experience with Source Control / Git

● Experience with HTML / CSS / Front-end frameworks is a Plus

● Experience delivering software using continuous development and deployment methodology

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
