About Marin software, at Marin Sr. Jenkins Software Test Engineering

Marin is looking for a Senior Quality and Test Engineer who knows Jenkins, to help take our Automation to the next level. Marin Software Developers are passionate about designing quality code through a collaborative process. We enjoy intense mathematics and computer science challenges and approach these problems with creativity and teamwork. We use Jenkins to augment this function.

About The Team and Marin engineer

Applicants welcome from anywhere in the US, although will be required to work closely, and align hours, with San Francisco team

If you are or strive to be an expert in these big-data distributed technologies, if you can read documentation and open-source code and are excited to participate in the Hadoop community, if you thrive on deep-diving into gnarly production issues related to big-data platforms, you belong with us!

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on manual testing, and develop automated test suites to replace as much manual testing as possible.
• Work with both Marin’s QE team in the US and local engineers to develop software in an Agile iterative release cycle.
• Make informed recommendations about the release-worthiness of each iteration. “Push back” when necessary (and justify it).
• Understand and develop quality metrics for Marin Software.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5+ years of work experience in software QA/Test Automation.
• 2+ years of work experience in web-based software QA/Test Automation.
• Experience in Linux, Relational Databases (MySQL), Java/Selenium.
• Used to short release cycles (2-4 weeks) in agile environment.
• Good communication skills, speaking and writing fluent English.
• Experience with load-testing and scale-testing a plus.
• Interest in online Internet advertising (actual experience a plus).
• Previous experience in search advertising (Google/Yahoo/MSN/Baidu) a big plus

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $75,000 - $150,000+. This is only a range. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
