Story Editor
TED is looking for a Story Editor to play a vital role in creating original podcasts for TED. The Story Editor has a keen grasp of all aspects of audio storytelling, and will be responsible for editing a wide variety of original TED shows across a range of formats and disciplines. This person understands pace, structure, character development, and what makes something “an idea worth spreading.” This individual has demonstrated measurable success in crafting podcasts from beginning to end, works well with teams and creatives, loves problem solving, and has a strong ear for what works well in audio.
While broadly known for its global conferences and signature TED Talk videos, TED is also one of the top podcast publishers in the world, garnering over 420 million downloads annually. Our programs are listened to in over 190 countries and our shows have been consistently ranked by Apple Podcasts as "most downloaded" of the year. In a world with over 700,000 podcasts (and growing), we've maintained this position over the years and have successfully launched new original shows that have found traction with both audiences and partners. TED’s award-winning portfolio of leading audio series include the TED Radio Hour (with NPR), TED Talks Daily, The TED Interview, WorkLife with Adam Grant, Far Flung with Saleem Reshamwala, Am I Normal? with Mona Chalabi, Body Stuff with Jen Gunter, and many more.
