About the role:
Classy is seeking a Creative Director to help us grow our B2B brand! The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail and a creative spirit. The Creative Director will bring to life our brand vision and story by leading a team of dedicated designers, serving as a mentor, and inspiring strong visual storytelling while maintaining Classy’s visual brand identity through all channels. This person must understand marketing and will work closely with our product marketing, demand generation, and brand teams, along with executive leadership, to develop cohesive visual strategies for all marketing-led initiatives. In this role, you will also have to determine budgets, manage technical campaign logistics, calendar planning, project management, process improvements, and career pathing for our team of brand designers.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Cultivate a creative and collaborative environment encouraging the development of high-quality brand deliverables that maintain and elevate Classy’s visual brand
- Daily delegation, review, and approval of all creative deliverables
- Monthly capacity planning to ensure all company needs can be met
- Spearhead, evolve, and maintain brand guidelines alongside our Lead Visual Designer that scales with our growth and velocity.
- Clearly communicate Classy’s value proposition through visual storytelling
- Develop campaign mood boards, pitch decks, and corporate presentations
- Manage Classy’s creative agency, including delegation of tasks and approvals
- Help determine and analyze audience strategies and market trends to evolve our visual brand identity to resonate with our target nonprofit audience
- Implement and improve processes to increase productivity and efficiency
- Cultivate a strong partnership with Product Design to deliver a unified customer experience from end-to-end.
What you bring (Required):
- 7+ years of experience in a graphic design or visual design role
- 2+ years leading creative teams
- Portfolio to illustrate applied experience as the creative process leader on projects
- Experience in B2B/ SaaS
- Ability to effectively manage a team, including capacity planning and mentorship
- Strong creative problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to take core product and brand messaging and turn it into a visual storyline
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to embrace change and hyper-growth with nimble ease in adapting
- Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite skills - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects
What would be awesome to have (Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- Experience with Asana or similar project management software
- Web design, animation and motion graphics experience are a bonus!
