Moogsoft is the creator and leader of the AIOps Observability market, providing SRE’s, IT & DevOps teams with the streamlined incident detection to resolution capabilities they need to avoid outages, meet SLAs, reduce error budgets, and help accelerate digital transformation of their businesses. Companies like Verizon Media, Fiserv and Silicon Valley Bank are leveraging Moogsoft today to reduce operational noise and correlate events across all their applications, network, infrastructure, and social media to gain actionable service insights and detect and resolve incidents faster than ever before. The Director of Product Marketing will play a key role in building the industry leading and state of the art Product-Led organization and help define the end to end Moogsoft customer journey. Your role will be to synthesize market, user, product, and competitive inputs into driving the highest possible revenue for the business.
Responsible For
- Contribute to the go-to-market strategy and oversee GTM launch processes for new product launches, and deliver differentiated messaging and product positioning
- Develop marketing strategy, sales enablement and launch plans for new releases; generate product naming, campaigns, messaging, content and thought leadership in support of new releases
- Collaborate with Sales, Growth and Business Development Leadership to define the target markets and personas
- Develop customer segmentation – identify target segments, their needs and purchase decision process, develop value proposition and sales mix strategy for each segment
- Enable the field-facing teams to sell most effectively by creating sales playbooks, positioning and collateral.
- Sales enablement – design and deliver information, content and tools in a prescriptive manner that aligns to the buyer’s journey (sales playbook, demo, target customer lists, etc.)
- Story telling – demonstrated ability to generate compelling stories and possess the innate ability to make the complex simple
- Act as the "voice of the customer" and bring customer insights (direct and from other teams) into product, product marketing/messaging and customer service decisions.
- Understand and analyze customer needs and maintain core customer reference lists for their respective product areas own customer case studies and reference programs
- Educate the company, particularly Product Development and Engineering leadership, on competition and market/industry trends to influence the Product Roadmap
- Voice of sales – gather feedback on use cases, selection criteria and functionality required
- Benchmarking – maintain a competitive fact base; including competitor size, successes, product offerings, positioning, price structure, etc.
- Data analysis, project management, reporting and communications, ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Lead, manage, team (initially contractors and 1 internal team member)
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience, MBA a plus
- 10+ years’ experience in product marketing management roles, ideally in IT operations management
- 5+ years analyzing SaaS products, customers and market dynamics
- Experience working with Product-led solutions
