Manager, Lifecycle Marketing
Overview :

As the Manager of Lifecycle Marketing at Weedmaps, your primary responsibility is to lead CRM marketing initiatives and strategy for important growth areas for the B2C side of the business. In this role you will be leading a team and working across business units & cross-functional groups while developing and executing lifecycle marketing campaigns that will drive growth and retention for Weedmaps' products.
The impact you'll make:
- Design the segmentation, engagement and lead nurturing strategy for end-to-end user and customer lifecycles, examples including account creation through order conversion, on-boarding and other down-funnel goals (B2C).
- Partner with Product Marketing and Brand to execute and achieve marketing campaign performance goals.
- Ensure a seamless and integrated lifecycle marketing experience for the end user and client.
- Monitor and optimize deliverability to maintain high deliverability, and data hygiene across all channels.
- Ensure that we are maximizing the use and capabilities of all internal or 3rd party omnichannel and marketing automation software.
- Constantly looking to improve our lifecycle program with industry best practices as well as staying up-to-date on emerging strategies and technology.
- Lead, manage and build the lifecycle (omnichannel) marketing team and fully own and manage triggered and automated email programs.
- Document and standardize all channel methodologies, SOPs & performance reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders on the strategy and own the execution of our email, push & inbox marketing program.
- Assist in the hiring, training and development of a team of Lifecycle Marketing specialists.
- Design tests and run experiments to develop insights on the customer to increase user engagement and maximize revenue potential.
- Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end product enhancements/requests.
- Maintain and prioritize a product request roadmap and backlog and ensure that new features and enhancements are validated, clearly specified and tested before launch.
- Help with complete and detail-oriented product requirements documents and ensuring clear communication of those requirements to the PM, design, usability and development teams.
What you've accomplished:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in omnichannel marketing at an ecommerce, marketplace or SaaS company.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing highly productive lifecycle marketers.
- Proven track record of building B2C lifecycle strategies and processes to scale.
- Strong hands-on experience with omnichannel marketing platforms including custom design language as well as technical capabilities and limitations.
- Strong data analysis, visualization and reporting skills.
- Proven track record of developing data-driven marketing strategies.
- Proven track record of strategy development while while overseeing and executing day-to-day tactics.
- Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional and remote teams on complex projects.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced, fluid, and highly cross-functional environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA preferred
- Experience with Braze or similar omnichannel marketing platforms
- Highly proficient in data platforms (e.g. Heap, Tableau, mixpanel, Google Analytics), SQL, etc.
- Experience with Liquid, HTML, CSS and graphics editing programs
- Experience in the cannabis space is a plus
