The Role
- Bitly is looking for a highly motivated and financially minded individual for a Senior Accounting Manager position. The individual will be responsible for all our accounting operations. This position will help scale our processes in a growing environment. The role will report directly to the VP, Finance.
What You'll do
- Manage the month end close process
- Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements ensuring accuracy and completeness in compliance with GAAP.
- Perform technical accounting research. Prepare memos and facilitate discussion with accounting leadership
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis
- Partner with FP&A team to identify and resolve variances, provide analysis of financial results
- Oversee all key accounting operations and compliance functions including sales tax
- Own the audit process, including preparation of materials for the financial statement audit, statutory audits and coordination with the external audit team.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to accelerate the close and reporting timelines; automate manual procedures and computations.
- Build a strong team through recruiting, staffing, professional development, mentorship, and/or corrective action as needed.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Who You Are
- BS in Accounting. CPA - preferred
- 6+ years of relevant accounting experience. Big 4 preferred. SaaS or Technology industry preferred
- Deep experience with interpreting and applying GAAP to business transactions, including knowledge of ASC 606
- Experience with general ledger accounting, financial reporting and monthly closing.
- Experience with ERP systems; Intacct a plus
- Experience in managing a team of professionals
- Excellent communication skills: proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels in a clear and concise manner
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem solving
- Ability to meet tight timelines; able to manage multiple priorities
- Proven proficiency of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with Carta, Zuora, - preferred
- Strong systems orientation with a desire to drive process automation, using financial systems and tools

Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
