Sales Director APAC, Publica

Who we are

Publica is the leading Advertising Platform for Connected Television. As audiences shift from Cable TV to Digital, Publica’s goal is to power the next generation of ad experiences on the big screen.

What we need to build together

The core of our platform is an OTT Header Bidding solution that enables publishers to run a unified auction between their direct sales and 35 video SSPs. In addition, we provide all services needed to run an Ad-Supported OTT business: Campaign Management, Audience Management, and Server-Side Ad Insertion.

We are looking to add a Sales Director to lead the charge in APAC. The role can be based in Singapore or Sydney. This individual will be responsible for driving the rapid growth of Publica’s revenue in the region by building strong relationships with partners, advertisers, and platforms and closing key deals.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work with leading publishers to sell Publica solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities and guide product roadmap to win them
  • Build long-lasting relationships with video publishers and traditional broadcasters
  • Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to evangelize the Publica brand, attend conferences and lead webinars

The ideal candidate will:

  • Naturally connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly and persuasive
  • Have an ability to inspire trust and followership in others through compelling influence, powerful charisma, passion in their beliefs, and active drive
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Motivated, passionate, and able to keep a positive attitude with a passion for growth
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms would be a plus, not a must
  • Possess an understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Leverage network of existing contacts to advance partnership discussions

Experience:

  • 10+ years of direct quota-carrying sales experience
  • Experience with CTV and publisher experience strongly preferred
  • Strong sales foundation built through sales training and practical experience
  • Deep knowledge of the ad tech landscape including competitive set, including in local APAC markets
  • Ability to grow existing sales opportunities with an extra emphasis on sourcing new sales opportunities
