As the Manager of the Automation Framework and Tools team, y ou will be a thought leader and influencer championing best practices within the Framework and Tools organization. You will own & drive the Software Development and Quality Processes for the software solutions we provide and maintain for Magic Leap engineering. You will be interfacing and collaborating with our internal customers that include Magic Leap Development Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Project Management. They heavily rely on the solutions we provide them to evaluate and make decisions about the readiness of our products.

Responsibilities:

• This is a leadership role, managing a team of Development engineers onshore and offshore
• Leading processes with the best Agile practices, within the SDLC
• Prioritizing and leading expansion and improvement opportunities to improve ongoing engineering support and capabilities
• Work with product, SW, and Build and Release engineering teams across the company, set & deliver operating models to improve and scale CI/CD processes
• Set the objectives for the Framework and Tools Organization and create goals aligning with Magic Leap’s business direction
• Oversee planning, execution, delivery and rollout of new and improved solutions
• Provide estimates, technical recommendations, reviews of the Product development plans and Sprint plans
• Build the Framework and Tools organization through recruiting, coaching and mentoring
• Provide peer leadership and contributions to the overall Engineering Systems Organization

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer
• 5+ years of team management experience
• Experience working with the CI/CD pipeline
• Proficient with creating, expanding and maintaining services with C#
• Experience with Python
• Experience with coaching and mentoring teams to high performance
• Past experience championing Agile methodologies, TDD, within a larger mature Software Organization
• Strong verbal/written communication skills including presentation to leadership
• Experience in Android OS, Framework and Applications is a plus
