About the Role:

As strong candidate for this position will have a passion for complex problem solving, and a desire act as a mentor for others. This team is supporting a legacy application while modernizing it. Executed this position successfully will involve understanding the existing application (written in PHP, and JS), learning the domain (US beverage alcohol compliance), and understanding modern development practices (docker, Kubernetes, micro services, etc).

What You'll Do:

• Minimum of 8 years of full stack software development experience
• Previous experience working within an agile team is essential
• Outstanding problem solving and debugging skills
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design & development and common design patterns
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional demeanor, team player, and a positive attitude
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work within a dispersed non co-located team
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Proven ability to make things happen and meet commitments
• Passion for mentoring

Who You Are:

Technical Skills:

• Expert level proficiency in Javascript, NodeJS
• Strong knowledge of server-side programming models and REST API standards
• Strong experience with modern UI framework such as Vue.js, React, Angular or equivalent
• Strong experience in building responsive applications
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms (preferably AWS)
• Strong DB design and debugging skills (mysql, SQL Server or similar)
• Experience in building distributed systems
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong experience of working in a service-oriented architecture
• Experience using Git Source Control
• Ability to integrate UI to services and troubleshoot integration issues
• Experience with PHP a plus

Working Conditions: Working with U.S. counterparts would require approx. 5-6 hours per week overlap.
