About The Role & Team Sift’s Sales Development team’s core missions are: to help people effectively navigate their journey with our product, identify and develop new business pipeline, and be the training ground for our company’s future leaders.
Reporting to the VP - WW Sales, you'll be an integral part of our Sales leadership and work closely with marketing, sales operations, and enablement to continuously improve our inbound and outbound prospecting motions. As Sales Development Manager, You Will - Hire, train, mentor, coach, and promote the next generation of Sift leaders
- Oversee a multi-channel, inbound/outbound prospecting program including messaging, tactics, systems, measurement, experimentation, and optimization
- Be goal-oriented, and highly proactive about coming up with creative ways for us to hit our new business pipeline targets, which directly impact revenue growth
- Help us achieve our growth goals while engaging our future customers with empathy and respect
- Align and collaborate with marketing, sales operations, and sales leadership to meet revenue and pipeline goals, diagnose opportunities and pain-points, and accurately measure progress
- Help create a team and company-first culture where we recognize and invest in our talent
At Minimum, You Should Have
- 3-5+ years of experience as an SDR Leader
- Experience working in SAAS
- Strong Salesforce skills and Outreach experience
What You’ll Do - You will be called upon to lead a team of SDRs to achieve and blow through any quota put in front of you and your team
- You will inspire, engage and enable your team; coach them on best practice, review and assess performance, support their professional development and optimize their contribution to their regions
- You drive an ever-evolving team and when necessary find and train new talent
- You will be the bridge between Sales leadership and your reports
- You will be highly disciplined in recording and analyzing team metrics
- You will take a creative and personalized approach in all activities assigned to your team
- You will hold your team accountable to deliver an enhanced customer experience at all touch-points with brands
- You’ll leave the automated canned emails and scripted calls in the past and will coach your team on elevating and enhancing outreach methods and methodology
- You’ll constantly educate yourself on new industry and technology trends as well as use available resources to understand ongoing re-structuring within key prospect accounts
- You welcome new ideas, but test them thoroughly and live by the question; will this scale?
The ideal candidate: - You have 3-5 years of software sales experience meaning you’ve experienced the full range of obstacles when dealing with complex business process, prospecting and opportunities
- Extensive SFDC knowledge
- You’re a proven leader who’s led an Inside Sales, Sales Development or Marketing team for 2-3 years reporting to a global management structure and consistently achieving team quota
- You’ve worked with fast-growing startups in the past and the tools they deem necessary (pulling and analyzing reports in SalesForce, Outreach, crowd-sharing Google technology, etc.)
- You lead by example and never expect one of your teammates to do something you wouldn’t
- You’re an inquisitive learner, intellectually curious and a trailblazer with creative ideas never settling for the status quo
- You’re humble, but confident in your abilities and skills as a leader and see your future in management
- You’re a dreamer and believe just because something has never been done, doesn’t mean it can’t be
