The Role
- We’re looking for a talented Brand Manager to join our growing Marketing team. In this role, you’ll oversee all aspects of Bitly’s growing brand, both internally and externally, in close alignment with our VP of Brand & Comms. From managing our day-to-day relationship with an external PR agency, to orchestrating full-scale campaigns, you’ll have the opportunity to truly grow Bitly’s brand awareness and perception in the market.
- This role has the unique opportunity to join Bitly, a well known brand, at a very exciting time. You’ll join as one of the first members of our newly formed Brand team that will shape and define how we’ll grow external awareness and perception of the connections platform in partnership with Product Marketing. The right candidate will be excited to get creative, take risks, and help define the future of our brand story.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with our external PR agency to coordinate, write, and review communications (press releases, award submissions, articles, etc.), acting as a liaison between our agency and our internal team, securing buy-in and feedback from stakeholders in support of our PR & Comms Manager
- Execute and own ad hoc brand campaigns from project management to delivery in support of broader brand awareness and engagement goals
- Work in partnership with the Creative team to submit thorough creative briefs for brand marketing projects and initiatives, following up on deadlines, and ensuring timely production and delivery
- Support our employer brand efforts in partnership with our People team, including collaborating on company events, both internal and external, employee experiences, and more
- Collaborate with our VP DEI, Talent, and People team on new initiatives that support our employer brand, hiring, and recruiting efforts (social media campaigns, internal blog, website, etc.)
- Orchestrate and organize email initiatives related to brand campaigns, including scheduling out our sends in alignment with the broader team as well as pulling targeted send lists and compiling all creative assets for those emails
- Coordinate and drive PR activities with an external agency, including speaking opportunities, awards, sponsorships, events, and media outreach
- Support our PR team by pitching, writing, and editing stories on behalf of our senior leadership team while keeping our senior leaders updated on breaking industry or company-specific news
- Track results from all brand and communications efforts, and make recommendations to modify the overall strategy to reflect ongoing learnings
- Collaborate on internal communications in alignment with our People team, including strategies for communicating with our Bitizens to strengthen engagement and our employer brand
- Enforce our editorial standards and maintain consistency of editorial messaging, tone and style
- Increase product awareness and enablement for product launches through integrated marketing strategy, partnering directly with cross functional teams
Who you are
- 3-5 years in-house experience managing brand, PR and/or communications for a business or at an agency
- Outstanding written and verbal communications with strong attention to detail
- Highly organized and process-driven with excellent follow-through skills
- A track record of achievement and the drive to readily accept responsibility and ownership over a wide array of communication activities
- Ability to switch gears quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, research, and presentation skills, particularly leveraging Google Slides or PowerPoint to present ideas and performance updates
- Proven ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent written and presentation skills; extremely detail-oriented and the ability to handle ambiguity and present ideas and results to an executive team
- Demonstrated communications expertise with exceptional verbal communication skills and a clear and persuasive writing style
- Experience across key brand and communication disciplines including video, content creation, social media, and PR
- Comfortable with project management across multiple teams and work streams
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and presentation skills; extremely detail-oriented and the ability to handle ambiguity.
- Excellent analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate data into action and make data informed decisions
- Collaborative and friendly, and comfortable working in a global remote environment
- A degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline

Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
