Job Description

  • Plan and execute third party events from start to finish
  • Manage budget, timelines, deliverables, vendors, invoicing, contracting, logistics and reporting
  • Create workspaces and campaigns for planning and reporting on collaborative solutions including SalesForce, Atlassian, Jira, Miro, WorkFront
  • Lead cross functional team in planning and execution of marketing campaign and overall event strategy through cadence meetings
  • Evaluate and mitigate risk associated with each event by working with legal department and vendors
  • Manage events on-site as needed
  • Track and analyze spend and performance by Implementing accurate reporting on budgets, lead generation, and marketing activities and report back to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Customer Marketing to design, plan and execute customer campaigns and activities at field events
  • Develop a keen understanding of third-party event program and assist with budgeting process, general reporting, and data analysis to make recommendations on event portfolio
  • Know and own the event KPIs and data to prepare reports to advise Audience Managers, Partner Marketing Managers and other stakeholders on the fit of events to their marketing message and objectives
  • Assist in setting up tools and workspaces for reporting and budgeting
  • Build extensive product knowledge and stay in tune with industry, product, partners, and competitors to make recommendations on new events
  • Continuously evaluate industry developments and trends and test new marketing activities to make real time adjustments to maximize performance for both in-person and digital events
  • Be an integral part of a close-knit team and provide general department admin support and manage ad-hoc projects
  • Assist the team in cleaning up campaign data and updating and maintaining workspace content
  • Become a power user for lead management solution, exhibit asset management solution, campaign management tools and/or own certain processes like apparel and branded merchandise orders
  • Consistently evaluate and improve current processes

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of large-scale events
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables and finding creative ways to do more with less while staying on budget
  • Confident, self-motivated individual with strong, demonstrable bias for action and curiosity to learn and “figure things out”
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, and/or business, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years event management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Ability to work well independently and collaborate effectively with a team
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage tons of projects at once and meet timelines and goals
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to proactively address issues at shows on site – proven problem-solving skills
  • Strong diplomacy skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Salesforce, and other CRM applications
  • Ability to ride the constant flow of change
  • Mover and a shaker, not an order taker

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CTSM, CMP or CPP certification
  • Salesforce and Tableau experience
  • Experience in the tech industry – Tech savvy
  • Channel experience
