Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking a VMware Systems & Infrastructure Admin to join our Digital Nexus technology organization.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Administration, maintenance, configuration and ongoing support of VMware server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications
• Responsible for Administration, maintenance, configuration and ongoing support of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications
• Complete system Performance analysis and baselining of applications; Perform system upgrades to memory, VCPU and disk
• Perform system decommissions, and update documentation; perform system Virtual migrations and Physical to Virtual migration
• Communicate best practices as it pertains to VM performance and monitoring
• Responsible for daily monitoring and review of incident and request queue

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of recent experience in implementation, administration and troubleshooting experience of Citrix systems, including Provisioning Server, XenApp and XenDesktop; advanced System Administration skills in VMware, Windows and Linux systems; expert understanding of backup, disaster recovery and storage concepts, including high availability and replication methodologies Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
• In depth VMware systems administration experience; VMware experience in an Enterprise setting (migration, implementation, performance optimization); experience supporting VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESX, vDS)
• Experience in administration, maintenance, configuration and ongoing support of Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications
• Working knowledge of VROPS,UCS Central and UCS Director; must have strong scripting knowledge (PowerShell/PowerCLI/Splunk); working knowledge of vRealize Operations Manager, VMware Converter, Veeam, and UCS Central; strong knowledge of Veritas Netbackup and EMC DataDomain technologies; experience supporting backup in the cloud and leveraging of cloud technologies
• Experience participating in and leading Disaster Recovery exercises, ensuring backup processes support existing recovery point and time objectives; experience supporting replication technology in support of high availability and business continuity with the ability to provide on-call 24 x 7 support
