The Role As a member of the People team, the Learning and Development Manager is a highly consultative role, responsible for the successful design and delivery of development experiences across the company. The Learning and Development Manager draws on instructional program design, facilitation and delivery experience, as well as strong business acumen, to lead the development of innovative learning experiences (face-to-face, and live-online) that produce measurable impact and support the talent pipeline of a fast-paced, high-growth company.
What You'll Do
- Oversee new hire onboarding, ensuring all new employees understand our company values, teams & our product
- In partnership with the Director of Org Development & Learning, provide both strategic and operational support for the design and implementation of key talent initiatives across all aspects of our organization related to career growth and employee development
- Design and facilitate training and development sessions, interactive meetings, and a variety of solutions via multiple modalities to diverse audiences
- Partner with the DEI office as well as the central HR team to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion practices are integrated into all L&D initiatives
- Develop and maintain learning assets, curriculum, and a variety development best practices that align with organizational goals and values
- Partner with external vendors where appropriate and manage vendor agreements when necessary
- Raise the bar to innovate, simplify and maximize the effectiveness of new and existing people leadership development programs
- Leverage Bitly’s LMS and other resources to enhance on-demand learning and course offerings
- Design, create, and maintain facilitation guides and materials to support training efforts
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development, working within an HR organization
- Knowledge of learning models and best practices, instructional design strategies, and learning assessment - and a natural curiosity for leveraging leading edge practices
- Experience designing and delivering development programs and courses in multiple modalities, including face-to-face, live-online and self-paced learning using a variety of technologies
- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) subject matter expertise strongly desired
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the technology industry strongly preferred
- Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
