What is the key purpose of a Programmatic Partner Account Manager?

Taboola’s programmatic account management team works with many Taboola stakeholders and manages all our DSP/SSP partnerships. This role is a key member of Taboola’s programmatic team, overseeing strategic demand partnerships globally.

This candidate should have experience with managing and growing DSP/SSP revenue as well as developing the partnerships from a strategic, technical, and legal perspective. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience managing global demand partnerships and has existing contacts with DSP/SSPs as all levels.

What are some of the things you do on a day-to-day basis?

As a fast-moving technology company, no 2 days will ever be the same at Taboola. As a Programmatic Partner Account Manager, you will:

  • Act as the main point of contact for all assigned demand partners day-to-day communication
  • Manage a book of business of programmatic clients – grow revenue by identifying opportunities to upsell.
  • Regularly participate in partner entertainment and activities focused on strengthening business relationships
  • Launch, monitor, troubleshoot and optimize performance for different types of client integrations
  • Use data analytics tools (Tableau, QlikSense, Excel, etc.) on a daily basis to identify opportunities to grow client spend
  • Routinely meet & have weekly calls with clients to share insights and review performance, optimizations, upsells, etc.
  • Successfully create close relationships with key people in your assigned partners, to strengthen partnerships with clients and influence their business strategy
  • Develop and execute long-term account plans and conduct QBR (quarterly business review) meetings with strategic clients.
  • Work closely with the Product, Sales and Business Development organizations to increase client engagement and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Identify opportunities to improve Taboola products based on partner feedback.

What are the skills a good Programmatic Partner Account Manager needs to have?

  • Minimum BA/BS degree
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in a B2B client-facing role in the online media / programmatic space
  • Experience working with programmatic platforms (SSPs & DSPs) on different types of integrations, including Tags, oRTB, and Header Bidding
  • Experience working with business development/sales teams to execute demand partner related initiatives
  • Ability to provide world-class client service while keeping a focus on growing revenues
  • Strong familiarity with demand partner structure and existing network of key stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills – proficient in working with Excel advanced functions / G-sheets. Tableau / QlikSense – an advantage.
  • Love for data-driven decision making – ability to monitor, A/B test and identify trends in data to generate action items and insights
  • You’re a natural collaborator, able to work with multiple teams to reach a common goal
  • You’re a quick learner with great attention to details and multi-tasking capabilities
  • A love for the challenge of sales and relationship building
