Participate in the creation/extension of a new application solution architecture. Create the detail design based on requirements and taking into account the solution architecture. Lead or participate in the detailed design phases for projects/programs, identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues. Assist or leads in the creation of application design, structure and implementation with consideration for performance, maintainability, and reusability. Prepare high level and detailed technical specifications for projects in accordance with PMF/SDLC, security and architecture objectives. Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing/recommending mitigation strategies. Participate in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises. Organize and participate in walkthrough reviews of all technical specifications, programs, code review and unit test plans. Assist in creating technical documentation and in training within the development team. Utilize understanding of current and emerging technologies with a desire to learn and apply new knowledge. Apply analytical skills independently to define and resolve small and moderately complex systems problems with appropriate prioritization based upon business impact. Provide or participates in technical liaison between business the project or support team for project installations. Coordinate the packaging, installation directives, and technical validation activities of implementations for the application(s) supported. Partner across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs. Lead planning, design, and implementation activities for Advisor Desktop application built on the Salesforce Financial Services Cloud platform as a component of the RBC WMTS WealthX Capability. Create, or manage the creation of specific documents required by the PMF/SDLC methodology and department policy. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Development or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Software Development or related field and 4 years of work experience.
