The Conductor Foundation—Conductor’s non-profit arm dedicated to helping mission-based (non-profit) organizations grow their online presence and supporting diversity in the digital marketing space was officially registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization earlier this year. The Foundation’s purpose is to provide support and opportunities to individuals and non-profit organizations through free or low-cost digital marketing education, content and events. Through the Foundation, we will:
- Provide educational workshops to Digital/Web Marketers and Web Specialists at nonprofits to help them spread their message
- Host digital marketing education training for underserved groups in the New York area and across the United States
- Partner with primarily New York-based colleges and universities to provide awards to underserved students studying SEO, content and digital marketing
We are looking for an individual who has a passion for social impact, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility to partner with our Foundation Team to build out our strategy and programs to support the Conductor Foundation mission . This is a great opportunity to make an impact through the Foundation’s mission to help charitable organizations get their word out as well as increasing diverse representation in the digital marketing industry.
As the Conductor Foundation Director, you will be responsible for developing programs as well as leading and managing all aspects of our corporate foundation's operations. You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing the strategic vision of the foundation in alignment with the Foundation Board and the company's corporate social responsibility goals and objectives. This is a part time role - approximately 20 hours per week and reports into the Conductor Foundation Board.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and execute the strategic vision of the foundation in alignment with the Foundation Board and the company's corporate social responsibility goals and objectives.
- Partner with Conductor SMEs and identify, hire and manage external resources to build out programs and content to deliver educational workshops for Digital/Web Marketers and Web Specialists at nonprofits to help them spread their message
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the foundation, including budgeting, financial management, and administration, to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, such as nonprofits, community organizations, and government agencies, to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership to maximize impact.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, employees, and other departments, to align the foundation's initiatives with the company's business objectives and values, and foster a culture of philanthropy and social responsibility.
- Oversee social media, LinkedIn, press releases to enhance visibility of Conductor Foundation and its mission.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the foundation's programs and initiatives and prepare regular reports for senior leadership to demonstrate the foundation's Manage donor tracking using database CRM
- Network with external Foundation and CSR counterparts to continuously develop new ideas and strategies to reach Foundation mission
- Oversee the grant-making process, including identifying potential grant recipients, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance, to support organizations and initiatives that align with the foundation's priorities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to philanthropy and corporate foundations to maintain the foundation's legal and ethical standing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to build genuine, productive, trusting relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders - internally and externally..
- Passion for supporting and uplifting the work of nonprofits in NYC and nationally in the US..
- Excellent organizational and communication skills (presentation, facilitation, and written)
- Strong analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, nonprofit management, philanthropy, or social sciences.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing corporate foundations, corporate social responsibility programs, or philanthropic initiatives including writing grant and philanthropic partnership proposals
- Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, and the nonprofit sector.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience and a passion for digital marketing/SEO a plus.
- Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to corporate foundations and corporate giving.
- Passion for social impact, community engagement, and corporate social responsibility.
- The foundation operates under a hybrid model. The Program Director must have the ability to come to the NYC office as needed.

Compensation : This is a part-time Contractor role with an expectation of 20 hours per week (hybrid) NYC based. $30-$50 an hour
