Software Engineer, Full Stack - Risk Team

Job Description

As part of the Trust and Safety Organization we are passionate about building great software and looking for like-minded individuals who share this passion and who are continuously looking to learn and grow. In this impactful role, you will develop user-interfaces and dashboards that enable our innovative payment systems. You will be part of the Merchant Fraud team that works on building a platform that allows merchants to easily create a highly performant fraud prevention solution by choosing the best ML model and combining the model scores with automatically generated business rules.

What You Will Do:

• Design and develop features on customer facing user-interfaces
• Review peer engineers’ designs and code
• Identify and establish better engineering practices that can help improve code quality and agility
• Support customer-facing portal in production
• Help educate and guide junior members of the team with engineering & front-end development
• Build infrastructure to improve release agility and quality (e.g. test infrastructure, better instrumentation/monitoring)

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical experience
• 2+ years of development experience
• Expertise in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5
• Experience using modern front-end tools such as React, Redux, SASS, webpack, jest, etc.
• An open-minded and flexible nature with pragmatic problem-solving approaches
• The ability and willingness to take complete ownership over a feature, bug or entire project and drive it to completion
• Ability to work full-stack (comfortable switching between the front and back-end)
• Restful API design and implementation
• Working knowledge in Python or Java

Salary Range

• 115000 - 145000 USD Base Salary
