Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a 2024 Summer Intern - Manufacturing Support Team Member. The Manufacturing Support Team Member assists the First Line Leader in ensuring the production team has the resources to meet daily commitments. They perform activities in a variety of cross-functional aspects of the build process, interfacing with program engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Tool Design, Quality, and Production Control to ensure a smooth build process. They are the primary contact for technicians to understand constraints and work diligently to relieve, document, or communicate as efficiently as possible to support production floor needs. The successful candidate will have technical and/or manufacturing experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
Must be a US Citizen; This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering or other STEM field from an accredited college
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must be a US Citizen; This position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
- Experience working in a fast-paced production floor environment
- Demonstrated ability using formal problem-solving methodologies; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Experience using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $24,024 - $67,288 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
