This position is based in San Antonio, TX

What you'll do:

Within defined guidelines and framework, provides information assurance capabilities through technical consultation and guidance to the business for the interpretation and assessment of information security risk for projects, technologies, and environments. Aims to identify and manage existing and emerging risks and integrate risk management strategies and educate risk owners across the enterprise on information security requirements and best practices. Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored and controlled and administers, and implements systems, policies and processes which serve to enhance the mitigation, reporting, and analysis of Information Security risk.

What you need to have:

To qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelors degree or higher from a 4-year accredited university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Our 2024 internship will start on Wednesday, May 29 and last through August 9, 2024.

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Cyber Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Identity Management or a related field at a 4-year accredited university
• Graduation date cannot be prior August 10, 2024
• Foundational and conceptual knowledge of modeling and machine learning and proven application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required
• Foundational level of business acuity in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required

What sets you apart:

• Graduation date between August 10, 2024, and July 2025
• Experience with programming languages to include Python, R, and SAS

What we offer:

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location. The range for this position is: $25 - $34.

Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.
