The Solutions Engineering Manager, East will ensure the successful delivery of all aspects of technical validation in a sales cycle, including discovery, positioning, scoping, execution, and objection handling. This person will lead a team that demonstrates compelling value in sales engagements, while committing to a trusted sales partnership with Account Executives, contributing to the continuous improvement of the team, and maintaining the confidence of Sales Leadership. The Sales Engineering Manager will inspire excellence across the East SE team as well as other teams around the company. The Sales Engineering Manager will be a highly valued member of the Technical Field leadership team.
What you'll do:
- Lead a Solutions Engineering team of 7-9 across the Eastern region of the United States.
- Hire qualified Solutions Engineers in strategic locations across the territory.
- Motivate and retain a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers.
- Ensure the continuing enablement of the SE team, including:
- The entire suite of product capabilities
- The analytics ecosystem in which our product operates.
- Our sales and validation processOur customer lifecycle methodology.
- Coordinate with Sales Leadership to develop strategic account plans for sales and expansion opportunities.
- Capable of ensuring the successful delivery of all aspects of technical validation in a sales cycle
- Ensure seamless coordination and alignment with Customer Solutions, Support, and Enablement teams to deliver continuous value and a world-class customer experience.
- Work closely with Customer Solutions teams to ensure the transition of accounts goes smoothly and effectively as well as discover new opportunities to deliver value in existing accounts.
- Set the standard of excellence as the domain expert to C-suite customers in the area of “creating a Data Culture.”
- Initially operate as this person but over time teach this skill set to the team and hire for this skillset.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement by:
- Refining and improving the validation process.
- Developing a library of customer stories, use cases, and referenceable customersDeveloping transformational, high-value solutions that drive adoption.
You should have:
- At least 4 years of Solutions Engineering leadership experience.
- Leadership experience in a fast-growing, VC-backed, late-stage startup.
- Delivery experience on the customer side leading a data organization, or experience providing thought leadership to the c-suite of large enterprise accounts.
- Expert-level understanding of enterprise analytics architectures, products, and solutions.
- Expert-level experience with concepts of data modeling, data analysis, and SQL.
- Experience with enterprise IT controls, regulations, policies, and practices.
- Some Linux experience is desired.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
$150,000 - $180,000 a year The base salary range is specific to the United States. The salary of the final candidate selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, work location, specialty, and training. If the final candidate has a different level of experience, the base salary target range may be lower or higher than what is published. #LI-KS1 #LI-Remote
